Pharmacological action

Alflutop is a chondroprotector, the active component of which is a bioactive concentrate from small sea fish obtained by extraction followed by deproteinization and delipidization. The concentrate contains mucopolysaccharides (chondroitin sulfate), amino acids, peptides, sodium, potassium ions, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc.

Alflutop prevents the destruction of the macromolecular structures of normal tissues, stimulates the recovery processes in the interstitial tissue and articular cartilage tissue, which explains its analgesic effect.

The anti-inflammatory effect and tissue regeneration are based on the inhibition of hyaluronidase activity and normalization of biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid. Both of these effects are synergistic and cause activation of repair processes in the tissues (in particular, restoration of the cartilage structure).

Indications

Primary and secondary osteoarthrosis of various localization (coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, arthrosis of small joints) spondylosis osteochondrosis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, childhood and adolescence (due to lack of clinical trial data in this category of patients).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Bioactive concentrate from small sea fish 0.1 ml.

Sprat (Sprattus sprattus sprattus).

Black Sea Puzanka (Alosa tanaica nordmanni).

Black Sea anchovy (Engraulis encrassicholus ponticus).

Excipients:

Water for injection (up to 1 ml), phenol (max. 0.005 g).

Dosage and administration of

For polyosteoarthrosis and osteochondrosis, Alflutop solution is administered deeply in oil 1 ml per day.

The course of treatment is 20 injections (1 injection per day for 20 days).

With a primary lesion of large joints, the drug is injected into the joint 1-2 ml into each joint with an interval of 3-4 days between injections. The course of treatment is 5-6 injections in each joint.

Perhaps a combination of IM and intraarticular injection.

The course of treatment should be repeated after 6 months.

Side effects

Rarely: itchy dermatitis, redness of the skin, burning sensation at the injection site, short-term myalgia.

Very rare: anaphylactic reactions.

In some cases: a transient increase in pain (with intra-articular administration).

Symptoms: allergic reactions, sometimes severe, may occur in predisposed patients.

Treatment: withdrawal of the drug, symptomatic therapy.
