Indications

- herpesvirus infection of various localization caused by HSV-1, HSV-2, including generalized in immunocompetent individuals,

- human papillomavirus infection, treatment of pathological conditions (condylomas, warts, human dysplasia dysplasmosis infection,

- hepatitis C,

- tick-borne encephalitis,

- in the combination therapy of HIV-infected patients and AIDS patients, including in combination with chronic hepatitis C, recurrent herpes infection, as well as other opportunistic viral infections.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the pregnancy and lactation, children.

Special instructions

To reduce soreness, Ferrovir is administered intramuscularly slowly, for 1-2 minutes.

Injection should be fully used immediately after opening the bottle, storage of open bottles is not allowed.

Intravenous administration of the drug is not allowed!

Composition of

1 ml of the solution contains 15 mg sodium deoxyribonucleate and iron oxide chloride 0.048 mg

Dosage and administration of

Ferrovir is administered intramuscularly.

For herpetic infection - 5 ml (15 mg / ml) of the solution 2 times a day, for 10 days.

In case of chronic recurrent genital herpes, cytomegalovirus infection - 5 ml (15 mg / ml) 2 times a day, for 10-15 days.

In the treatment of HIV infection or AIDS, adults - 5 ml (15 mg / ml) of solution for intramuscular injection (75 mg in terms of dry substance) 2 times a day (150 mg), for 14 days. If necessary, after 1-1, 5 months is prescribed a second course of therapy.

In the treatment of hepatitis C, Ferrovir is administered intramuscularly 2 times a day, 5 ml (15 mg / ml) for 14 days. In the next 14 days, the drug is administered in the same daily dose every other day.

With tick-borne encephalitis - 5 ml (15 mg / ml) 2 times a day for 5 to 10 days.

For human papillomavirus infection - 5 ml (15 mg / ml) once a day, with an interval of 72 hours, for 10 days.

In relapsing genital warts, either as monotherapy or in combination with surgical treatment, the drug is prescribed 5 ml (15 mg / ml) of the solution for intramuscular administration 2 times a day, for 10 days.

In case of cervical dysplasia associated with human papillomavirus, the drug is prescribed 5 ml (15 mg / ml) of the solution 1 time per day for 10 days.

When using an intramuscular solution of 2 ml, recalculate until a course dose of 750 - 2100 mg is reached.

Side effects

Short-term fever (up to 38 ° C), hyperemia, and soreness at the injection site are possible.

Moderately potentiates the effects of anticoagulants.
