Indications

Acute and chronic respiratory diseases, accompanied by the formation of viscous, difficult to separate sputum (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis) and mucus (inflammatory diseases of the middle ear, nose and paranasal sinuses - )

preparation for bronchoscopy and / or bronchography.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to carbocysteine ​​or other components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute stage), chronic glomerulonephritis (in the acute stage), cystitis, children under 2 years old, pregnancy (I trimester).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

In clinical practice, to date, not a single case of fetal malformation or a special toxic effect on the fetus has been identified, but the risk of such an effect cannot be completely ruled out. Consequently, if necessary, the use of Fluditec during pregnancy should correlate the expected benefits to the mother and the potential risk to the fetus.

In experimental animal studies, the teratogenic effect of the drug was not detected, therefore there is no reason to assume the possibility of malformations of the human fetus.

Composition of

100 ml of syrup contains carbocysteine ​​2 g of

excipients: sucrose, banana flavor, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, yellow-orange dye S, purified water

preservative: methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Dosage and administration

For children, Fluditec is prescribed as a syrup for children.

For children over 5 years old, the daily dose is 300 mg, i.e. 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3 times / day.

For children from 2 to 5 years old - 200 mg / day, i.e. 1 teaspoon 2 times / day.

For newborns and children from 1 month to 2 years - 20-30 mg / kg / day in 1 or 2 doses, while the dose should not exceed 100 mg / day.

Duration of treatment, as a rule, should not exceed 8-10 days.

Side effects

From the digestive tract: sometimes - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain, gastrointestinal bleeding.

Allergic reactions: in isolated cases - itching, urticaria, exanthema, angioedema.

From the nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, weakness, malaise.

Overdose

Symptoms: stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea.

Treatment: carry out symptomatic therapy.
