Pharmacological action

Grippferon is a broad-spectrum drug (rhino, corona, adenoviruses, influenza, parainfluenza, etc.). With the intranasal route of administration, it provides prolonged contact with the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, acting on the site of the primary introduction and reproduction of respiratory viruses. The activity of 1 vial of Grippferon is equal to the activity of 100 ampoules of human leukocyte interferon.

Grippferon does not develop addiction and resistance. The drug, as a rule, does not require additional symptomatic treatment (aspirin, panadol, sulfonamides, vasoconstrictor drops for the nose). A carefully selected composition, thanks to the additional absorbent and drying effect, allows you to enhance the therapeutic effect of interferon itself.

From the first hours of taking the drug, the removal of the main symptoms of the disease (runny nose, fever, headache, hyperemia of the oropharynx, etc.) is observed. The use of Grippferon with the appearance of the very first signs of the disease leads to its interruption. On average, the duration of the disease is reduced by 30-50%.

Dosage and administration of

At the first sign of a disease, instill in the nose for 5 days:

for children under 1 year old - 1 drop in each nasal passage 5 times a day (single dose of 1,000 IU, daily dose of 5,000 IU)

for children from 1 to 3 years old - 2 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 once a day (single dose 2000 ME, daily 6000 - 8000 ME)

for children from 3 to 14 years old - 2 drops in each nasal passage 4-5 times a day (single dose 2000 ME, daily dose 8000-10000 ME)

for adults - 3 drops in each nasal passage 5-6 times a day (single dose of 3,000 ME, daily dose of 15,000 - 18,000 ME).

For the purpose of prevention (SARS and influenza): upon contact with the patient and / or upon hypothermia, the drug is instilled in an age-related dosage 2 times a day for 5-7 days. If necessary, preventive courses are repeated with a seasonal increase in the incidence of the drug, they are instilled at an age-specific dosage in the morning after 1-2 days.

After each instillation, it is recommended to massage your fingers with the wings of the nose for several minutes to evenly distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.
