Pharmacological action of

Licorice root syrup is a herbal preparation derived from the licorice root rhizomes (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Licorice roots contain glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhizin, which determine their therapeutic effect. The content of glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhizin in licorice roots reaches from 2 to 15% of the total mass.
