Drug Interactions

Ascorbic acid increases the blood concentration of benzylpenicillin and tetracycline at a dose of 1 g / day and increases the bioavailability of ethinyl estradiol.

Improves intestinal absorption of iron preparations (converts ferric to ferrous) can increase iron excretion while used with deferoxamine. Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), oral contraceptives, fresh juices and alkaline drink reduce absorption and absorption.

With simultaneous use with ASA, urinary excretion of ascorbic acid increases and ASA excretion decreases. ASA reduces the absorption of ascorbic acid by about 30%.

Barbiturates and primidone increase urinary excretion of ascorbic acid. Reduces the therapeutic effect of antipsychotics (phenothiazine derivatives), tubular reabsorption of amphetamine and tricyclic antidepressants.

Overdose
