MOMAT - local anti-inflammatory, glucocorticoid, antipruritic.

Pharmacodynamics

Mometasone is a synthetic GCS with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and antiexudative effects. GCS induce the release of proteins that inhibit phospholipase A2 and commonly known as lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators such as PG and RT, by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption is negligible. 8 hours after a single application to intact skin (without an occlusive dressing), about 0.4% (cream) and 0.7% (ointment) of the active substance are found in the systemic circulation. Indications

Inflammation and pruritus in dermatoses amenable to corticosteroids therapy.

Dosage and administration

Side effects

Overdose
