Pharmacological action

Nooholin Rompharm - a nootropic drug, central cholinomimetic with a primary effect on the central nervous system. The drug contains 40.5% metabolically protected choline. Choline alfoscerate in the body under the influence of brain enzymes is broken down into choline and glycerophosphate. Choline is involved in the synthesis of acetylcholine, transmitting nerve impulses and improving brain function, and glycerophosphate is a precursor of phosphatidylcholine neuron membranes.

Choline alfoscerate improves cerebral blood flow, strengthens metabolic processes in the brain, activates the structure of the reticular formation of the brain and restores consciousness in traumatic brain damage.

Clinical studies have shown that choline alfoscerate stimulates dose-dependent release of acetylcholine under physiological conditions of neurotransmission.

In acute conditions - intramuscularly or intravenously (slowly), 1 g per day for 15-20 days then go on oral administration of 0.8 g in the morning and 0.4 g in the afternoon for 6 months.
