active substance: trifluoperazine hydrochloride 5 mg

Dosage and administration of
Triftazine is taken orally after a meal.
Doses are selected individually according to the severity of the condition, for dose titration, it is advisable to use dosage forms with the appropriate (lower) dosage. Upon reaching the maximum therapeutic effect, the dose is gradually reduced to a maintenance one. Usually, for the treatment of anxiety, adults are prescribed 1 mg 2 times a day. For patients with psychotic disorders start 2-5 mg 2 times a day. To obtain the optimal therapeutic effect, the dose is gradually increased to 15-20 mg / day, divided by 2-3 doses, the maximum daily dose is 40 mg.

Side effects of the
From the nervous system: drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, phenomena of mental indifference (with prolonged use), delayed reactions to external irritations. The use of triftazine is often accompanied by extrapyramidal disorders (dyskinesias, akinetorigid phenomena, akathisia, hyperkinesis, tremors, autonomic disorders), in isolated cases, convulsions.
